For those seeking training in the APV Module, there is an abundance of information, training documents, and instructions on the CHCS Training Portal at http://www.distributivelearning.net. Select the “Library” link at the bottom of the page. Next, choose the “WAM/APV” from the drop down and click on “search.” You then should have access to all the documents. You also can also register for the training sessions here. This link will also direct you to the field services website for the virtual classroom at https://fieldservices.saic.com for WAM/APV training. A login a password is required, which is granted usually within 24 hours. For more information on virtual training, please see the attached document.

Last updated: 3/11/05. There is the potential for error when querying the EAS IV repository using Business Objects. A desktop guide detailing cautions and caveats can be found at MEPRS Presentations under "Downloads" in the "Learning Resources" section of the portal. Failure to take into account the cautions and caveats described in the documents provided there can lead to erroneous results! CHECK BACK PERIODICALLY FOR UPDATES.

Recent hardware problems with the EAS IV Repository have caused aborts during the data load process resulting in unreliable data being posted on the EAS IV Repository. For example, expense differences across classes and missing monthly data in one class but not another. The EAS IV support contractor is working to resolve the problem. The problems affect data submitted to the EAS IV Repository on or about 20 May and through today. If you have extracted data from the EAS IV Repository around this time, you may have invalid results. Once more information is received it will be relayed.

The Six Sigma MEPRS Management Metrics (S2M3) workbook, which consists of the last 6 fiscal months of FY04 and the first 6 fiscal months of FY05 has been revised. The primary revision is in the area of Radiology workload per Radiology FTE, and the Executive Summary. The original workbook understated the Radiology workload. This updated workbook can be downloaded at http://www.tricare.osd.mil/ebc/rm_home/meprs/sixsigma.cfm. The S2M3 is a blend of Direct Care and civilian industry benchmark metrics presented in an interactive Excel workbook containing seven key MEPRS-based performance metrics. When downloading this workbook, remember to ensure your Macro settings are at medium in Excel, choose "ENABLE MACROS" and "DON'T UPDATE" at the prompts during the download process.

The FY05 Six Sigma MEPRS Management Metrics (S2M3) workbook is now available for download from the MEPRS Information Portal. Check out the tool to assess your MTF’s operational performance in relation to other facilities of the same size. Changes to the FY05 release include updated CONUS peer groups, separate OCONUS peer groups, and a guide to help users discern which values reflect a more desirable outcome.

In the September MEWACS release, incorrect allocation data appear for the following sites: 0004, 0033, 0059, 0083, 0117, 0125, 0637. These sites show $0 in the Expense Contributed field of the EAS IV Repository. This anomaly resulted from a technical issue with the EAS IV Repository, not a data processing error on the part of the facilities. Any FY06 expenses appearing on the Allocation Test or Allocation Detail metrics should be disregarded for these MTFs.

Starting this month, MEWACS Online will contain FY02-FY04 data. Due to file size limitations, the Excel version of MEWACS will continue to contain up to 24 months of MEPRS data -- FY03-FY04.

A link to the CHCS Training Portal System has been added to MEPRS.INFO. For now it contains power point presentations to support CITPO projects. Eventually, it will offer interactive training sessions to MTF level users. To access the training materials, point to the curriculum icon and then click the 'courses' subcategory. The CITPO courses page will appear. In the "Please choose a course category", select "WAM" from the drop down menu to view all the courses listed. No user password is required to access these materials.

Approximately 250 individuals attended the 2004 MEPRS conference June 14 - 17. From a review of the preliminary conference evaluations it appears the vast majority of the attendees rated the 2004 conference as a great success!
