VANCOUVER – The Province has launched the $27-million first phase of ReadNow BC, an action plan to help British Columbians improve their reading skills, Premier Gordon Campbell announced at a literacy summit to mark Family Literacy Week.

VICTORIA – More than 100 new degree programs have been approved at post-secondary institutions around the province in the past three years, giving British Columbia students more education choices, Advanced Education Minister Murray Coell announced today.

SCHOOL BOARDS REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH FEES RULING

VICTORIA – School boards will be required to comply with the Sept. 29 B.C. Supreme Court decision on school fees that upholds the provisions of the School Act and clearly lays out when school boards can and cannot charge fees.
