Outreach Librarian, Morrill Memorial Library

The Morrill Memorial Library is seeking a professional
Outreach Librarian to work 20 hours per week. This is a
benefited position.
The Outreach Librarian performs responsible administrative,
direct service, and professional work in organizing,
implementing and providing library services to people with
special needs within the Town of Norwood including nursing
home residents, people in private homes and in housing for
the elderly and all other related library work as required.
Some work is performed outside of the library in nursing
homes, patrons' homes, and the Senior Center. Library
operating hours may require evening and weekend work. The
Outreach Librarian will perform the duties of Information
Services Librarian when occasionally scheduled at the
Reference Desk. Additionally, the Outreach Library must
demonstrate and maintain current knowledge of assistive
technology, related services, ADA requirements, instruct
staff members in the use of equipment when necessary and
prepare grant applications to procure funding for assistive
technology and to maintain and enhance existing programming.

Senior Research Librarian, Trak Records and Library

Trak Records and Library is in need of a Senior Research
Librarian for a client located in downtown Boston. This is
a direct hire position.
The Senior Research Librarian will provide expert research
and reference assistance in support of the various legal
and administrative departments throughout the company.
Assists in regular outreach to the practice by providing
training, consultative support, and informational updates
in the areas of print and electronic research. Works with
Managing Director, Director and Manager on IS Information
and Research Services projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide expert reference assistance to attorneys in all
practice areas in a timely and effective manner using
various print and electronic resources. Provides
consultative reference support advising lawyers on the
optimal strategy and source selection to obtain most
authoritative and cost effective results.
Provide expert reference assistance to support the
functions of the various administrative departments of the
firm including but not limited to Business Development and
New Business/Conflicts.
Assist in the development of new research & reference
offerings and outreach, including but not limited to,
bulletins, department and practice group presentations, and
direct client services.
Mentor and trains more junior staff to provide expert
reference support.
Provide reference desk coverage as assigned and follows
internal procedures for the handling of requests as set by
the group Director and Manager, Research Services.
Maintain expert working knowledge of the library
collections, online database resources, interlibrary loan
availability, document delivery, and other resources as
appropriate. Demonstrates an expert level of proficiency
in primary database usage, search strategy and syntax, and
licensing restrictions.
Work with Manager, Research Services to assist in the
preparation of and/or delivery of relevant orientation and
training programs. Assist in the gathering of materials
and drafting or editing of handouts to support the program.
Work with Manager, Research Services to support the
development and maintenance of intranet reference
collections. Assists with link checking, collection
development, and integration of subject-specific resources
into larger firm portal.
Assist Manager, Resources and Technical Services and
Manager, Research Services in developing both the paper and
electronic resources collections. Aid Manager in the
evaluation of new and existing research tools and makes
recommendations for purchase or renewal or resources.
Contribute to the firm's Service Excellence initiative to
consistently improve its image internally and externally.
Displays professionalism, quality service and a "can do"
attitude to internal members/departments of the firm as
well as external clients and vendors via electronic and
print correspondence, over the telephone and in-person.

Records Manager/Digital Resources Archivist, Williams College

Williams College Libraries seeks a creative,
service-oriented and technologically skilled archivist to
galvanize the college's records management program and lead
the libraries' efforts in managing and preserving electronic
records. In addition, this archivist will help shape the
libraries' role in college-wide initiatives to manage the
campus's intellectual property, soliciting and administering
digital assets, and overseeing digitization of materials
from the collections of the College Archives. The Records
Manager/Digital Resources Archivist reports to the College
Archivist/Special Collections Librarian and is an active
member of the department.

Under the direction of the Library Director, maintain
library computers to ensure speedy access to online
resources for library staff and visitors. Install, update
and secure staff and public computers and network
connections. Maintain, configure, replace and repair
equipment and software. Provide troubleshooting help and
guidance to library on equipment purchases, upgrades and
maintenance. Assist with the development and implementation
of library technology plan. Assist with securing technology
grants for the library. This is a 6-8 hour per week position.
